“I’ve always been in the sky and seen everyone from a distance.  It’s lonely up in space. I have been around for a long time and have seen many things, you will read about what I have seen and what I have hoped for. Please come and visit me and be my friend.”

“Moon, we all need friends and we can’t wait to read and look at the pictures in this book about friendships and Apollo 11 spaceflight. Thank you for sharing with us today. Everyone let’s blast off to get a hold of this book today!

Copy and Cut

Copy and Cut

Cut eyelids for the moon by cutting from one blue line to the other blue line. This cut will allow the eyelid to open and close.

Glue the gray moon on top of the white moon around the edge only.

A picnic on the Moon

By Vicky Manning

Tune – “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”

I can see the moon

Way up in the sky

I can see the moon

Hanging among the stars at night.

Don’t you wish you could soar

Through the Milky Way?

Land a spaceship on its face

And have a picnic while in space.
