Bitty Bot's Big Beach Getaway

The perfect summer children’s book to review is “Bitty Bot’s Big Beach Getaway,” written by Tim McCanna and illustrated by Tad Carpenter.

Today we are interviewing Bitty Bot.  How are you doing today?

 Bitty Bot

“I’m fine but I really wish I was at the beach with my new friends.”

“You like to go to the beach and play in the hot sun?”

 Bitty Bot

“Not always, but I do now.  We built a submarine and took it deep into the sea.”

“You and your friends built the submarine by yourself?”

 Bitty Bot

“We did and when you read about us you will learn about all the things we saw and also something happen to us while we were down there.”

“Really, you have sparked my curiosity. Before we close this interview can you tell us about the author and illustrator of “Bitty Bot’s Big Beach Getaway?”

 Bitty Bot

“Tim McCanna is the author and he loves the beach also. He rode a submarine once.  When he is not ate the beach he loves volunteering for the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. He lives in San Jose, California, with his wife and two kids.”

“Tad Carpenter the illustrator is a designer, author and teacher. He lives in Kansas City, Missouri.”

“Thank you Bitty Bot and you have many more fun days at the beach!”

The Beach Robot

By Vicky Manning

Have you ever taken your Robot?

Your robot, your robot?

Have you ever taken your Robot?

Your robot, your robot down to the beach?

He can make you a sandcastle,

A sandcastle, a sandcastle.

He can make you a sandcastle on the beach.

 He can take you fishing,

You fishing, you fishing.

He can take you fishing right off of the beach.

Have you ever taken your Robot?

Your robot, your robot?

Have you ever taken your Robot?

Your robot, your robot down to the beach?

A picnic on the Moon

By Vicky Manning

Tune – “I’ve Been Working on the Railroad”

I can see the moon

Way up in the sky

I can see the moon

Hanging among the stars at night.

Don’t you wish you could soar

Through the Milky Way?

Land a spaceship on its face

And have a picnic while in space.
