Dragon, Tempers

“I may need a water hose with me while I interview my next children’s book character, Fergal. Robert Starling wrote and illustrated this great children’s book.  He lives in Norwich, UK.”

“Fergal, you are a fire breathing dragon, right?”

 Fergal

Yes, but I promise I will not smoke up this room.

“Great, can you tell us about your character in the book, “Fergal and the Bad Temper.”?

Fergal

I have a problem with being told what to do, it makes me mad and that’s not a good thing for a dragon.

My temper is nasty but I really do not want to be this way because people do not like hot heads.

“I can understand people not wanting to be around someone who get angry all the time.  Does this anger issue have something to do with the story?”

 Fergal

Yes Ma’am. I had to find a way to control my temper.  I had family and friends show me how they dealt with anger.  My Mother gave me the best advice for holding my temper and you know what, I have time for so many other useful things since I’ve learned how to control my temper.

“That is wonderful!  This book is going to teach us about anger issues and we all get angry sometimes.”

Fergal

Yes Ma’am we do!
