Road Trips in Cars

Everyone, are you ready for our next interview? I hope you are ready because I have a room full of book characters coming to tell you about their author and illustrator.

“So, who is going to speak for everyone today?”

Pip

“I can speak for everyone and can you not ask them about our little road trip?  We had a few guests along the way and I’m not sure everyone was happy about it.”

“Sure, we can first talk about the author and illustrator.”

Pip

“The author of our book is Pat Brannon and she has written fifteen Christian and children’s books.  The illustrator is Natalie Totire Brinley.  Natalie is also a writer, crafter, and child care worker. She has written 22 books.

“Thanks Pip, can you now give us a clue about this group of characters I’m seeing with you?”

Pip

“Sure, they are all the animals I picked up on our vacation!  I love animals and they love me. I also think animals do not need to be alone.  Everyone loves company!”

“I enjoyed the vacation, like I said before, but I’m sure others was not as happy as I was.”

“It sounds like you had a great adventure you did not plan.”

Pip

“Exactly!  It was not planned but it worked out in the end. We had a wild ride and we made it home safely.”

“It sounds like a book filled with animals and an unplanned vacation excitement. We have all had vacations like this and I’m sure children will enjoy reading about Pip’s family vacation.”

Pigs & Hogs

The book to be interviewed today is, “The Book Hog,” and we have him with us today.  I have to tell you working at a library myself, I’m in love with this book.  When I got to the end of the book and saw the green date card, I smiled.

“We have the Book Hog himself here to tell you about his book character.”

Book Hog

Hi everyone, I love books and that is what the author wants you to know about me. I like you too and want you to read about my big secret.  Did you know you can go to the library and check out lots of books?  I check out books at the library and you can too.

“Book Hog, I’m so glad you like books and thank you for telling everyone where they can check out books.”

“We would love for you to tell us the author of The Book Hog.”

Book Hog

The guy who thought me up is Greg Pizzoli and guess what?  He likes books too! He visits libraries in Philadelphia, and you can find him online at www.gregpizzoli.com
