Father’s Day Drawing Project

Father’s Day is fast approaching and I have the perfect book for you to read!

“I have Daddy and his young son with me today.”  Thank you for coming to tell us about your new life through the book, Daddy, Me, and the Magic Hour written by Laura Krauss Melmed and illustrated by Sarita Rich.”

“Can you tell us about your character and your family?”

Daddy

My son and I love our afternoon walks and we call it the magic hour. We have a few chores to do before we take our walk but we never miss our walk together.

“Little fellow what do you like the best about your walks at night?”

Son

I like the playground and playing with the dogs. Dad and I also play games in the dirt.

“Dad can you tell us your favorite part of the evening walk?”

DADDY

Sure, being with my son is the best part. It gives us time to play together and explore together. We meet many people at the park and on the walk but I enjoy the time by teaching my son about nature the most.

This story tells about our time together and I hope it will encourage Dads to spend special times with their kids.

Daddy Time

By Vicky Manning

Clap, clap,clap

Daddy loves me.

Clap, clap, clap

I love daddy.

Clap, clap, clap

We play together.

And sometime we even

Play with my mother.

Stomp, stomp, stomp

Daddy loves me.

Stomp, stomp, stomp

I love daddy.

Stomp, stomp, stomp

We play together.

And sometime we even

Play with my brother.

Run, run, run

Daddy loves me.

Run, run, run

I love daddy.

Run, run, run

We play together.

And sometime we even

Play with my sister.

Copy frame and let students draw a picture of their magic hour with dad.
