Farm Animals Book “In! Over! and On by Ethan Long

Good morning everyone! Today I have the book In! Over! and On!. What a cute way to introduce in, over, and on. Farm animals are learning too but they are having so much fun they never realize it! The book also has open and shut flaps. The story is short so you can read it to younger children and keep their attention.

Stick puppets

Have the students color the animals and the outhouse below. Cut the animals out and glue to a Popsicle stick. Cut the the outhouse out and fold and glue or tape tab. Cut the door for the animals to pop through.

In, Out and Under (Tune Three Blind Mice)

By Vicky Manning

In, out and under

In, out and under

In and out are opposite.

In and out are opposite.

I can jump in and out

But can you ever jump under?

Yes you can, yes you can.

Jump In!

By Vicky Manning

If you are happy and you know it, jump in.

If you are happy and you know it, jump in.

If you are happy then you are in then you really need to grin!

If you are happy and you know it, jump in.

If you are happy and you know it, jump out.

If you are happy and you know it, jump out.

If you are happy and you are out then you really need to shout!

If you are happy and you know it, jump out!

If you are happy and you know it, duck under!

If you are happy and you know it, duck under!

If you are happy and you are under then you really need to holler!

If you are happy and you know it, duck under!

Four Farm Animals

By Vicky Manning

Four farm animals hiding in an outhouse.

One came out running from a field mouse.

Three farm animals in a barn under a rake.

One came out running from a big black snake.

Two farm animals sitting on a haystack

One came out a running with a cat on his back.

One little farm animal left under a tractor,

Until a barn owl swooped down and snatch her.

No more animals in, out or under.
